Here’s a simple, playful way to shake things up:
Add 3 to 5 BIG circles (or ovals, blobs, or spirals) right onto the artwork.
Yes - BIG shapes!
When you add large, bold shapes, it naturally invites your painters to interact in new ways:
- They can paint around them
- Fill inside them
- Outline or decorate them
- Overlap their own marks with the shapes
This trick instantly breaks up that “stuck” feeling and sparks new energy in the group.
Plus, it nudges everyone to paint bigger, because many people tend to stay within their comfort zone and paint small or cautious marks.
