Collaborative art is surprisingly flexible.
I’ve used this style of group painting with:

The reason it works so well is because there isn’t one “right” way to paint.
One person might create bold patterns.
Another might carefully add details.
Another might just simply copy the offered patterns carefully.
Every contribution becomes part of the final artwork.
